Cardiff Half

3rd October 2016

This weekend saw the Cardiff Half Marathon take place and our very own boss donned his Lycra (not a pretty sight) and took part in what has become one of the UK’s biggest and best road races. Run on a course around Wales’ capital city it takes in many of Cardiff’s most iconic landmarks. It is not only the UK’s second largest half marathon, it is Wales’ largest road race and Wales’ largest multi-charity fundraising event with in excess of 20,000 runners taking part.

This year, Julian was running for CAP (Christians Against Poverty – capuk.org) This is a fantastic charity that exists to help release people in the UK from a life sentence of debt, poverty and their causes. Unable to feed their children, incapable of paying to heat their homes in winter, the grip of poverty is relentless. It can break families apart and drive many to think that suicide as the only solution.

Through the services CAP run through local churches, they tackle poverty head on. Their vision is to bring freedom and good news to people in every community.

Well done Julian, and it only took you…. How long?
