2020 A Year of Zoom…
8th February 2021
Or in the words of the late, great Aretha Franklin, ‘Who’s Zoomin’ Who?’
It’s safe to say that 2020 didn’t quite turn out as any of us predicted. Not even the best planning and strategizing could have prepared anyone for the far-reaching implications of a worldwide pandemic. Many brands realized that they’d have to pivot to survive and that their traditional means for communication and customer engagement would no longer cut it, and we were no different.
The strength of being a small, multi-disciplinary team meant that we were able to shift focus and offer our clients the digital support they needed instantly and seamlessly. We are now managing many of our client’s social media accounts, creating meaningful and engaging content and increasing their following and customer engagements. After all, who better to digitally build their brand than the team who originally designed their products and help create their brand.
Whilst physical face-to-face interactions have been minimized, Zoom has allowed us to connect with our clients and colleagues like never before. It’s been a joy to meet more frequently with clients both in the UK and overseas. Out of extraordinary times has come amazing creativity and we’ve been privileged to be partners in not only our client’s resilience but also to have witnessed and played our part in supporting the surge in independent, entrepreneur-led projects.
Let’s not forget the delight of peering into each other’s homes and flaunting the books on our shelves, the novelty of attending a meeting wearing a smart shirt with pyjamas or enjoying team drinks with no last train to catch. Yes, 2020 was most definitely the year of Zoom and we have much to be grateful for as our business goes from strength to strength. That said, we can’t wait to see everyone again face-to-face, to show off our new offices and to catch up over a proper cup of coffee. In the meantime, stay home, stay safe and we’ll see you over a Zoom meeting very soon.
