Scrumshus Granola was already a Great Taste ‘Gold’ award winner when the company approached us to create branding and packaging that better reflected the quality of this premium product.

Made with the finest natural ingredients including generous quantities of Jumbo oats, honey, coconut, raisins, sunflower seeds, maple syrup, almonds, pumpkin seeds, cranberries, cashew nuts, hazelnuts, sunflower oil. Scrumshus contains no added sugar, salt or preservatives.

Our task was to create a new brandmark along with product packaging that would reflect the provenance of the ingredience, and create real on-shelf presence.

The rebrand has opened up new opportunities for the business with Scrumshus now being served in premium establishments such as Claridges, The Ritz, and The Dorchester and available to purchase through Fortnum & Mason, Selfridges and Waitrose to name just a few.

To introduce a sense of heritage and emphasise the products quality natural ingredients, we developed the wheat sheaf motif and two-tone sash. The motif is reflects some of the products key ingredients and the bi-coloured sash was created to suggest early morning sunlight and shadows.

We created a hand-illustrated bumblebee to reference the provenance of the honey, one of the Granola’s key ingredients. The classic watch strap label showcases the jumbo fruits and nuts, whilst the matte, textured substrate provides a contemporary edge.

Environmentally friendly packaging was crucial as was an identity that was both contemporary yet conveyed a hint of traditional British character.

Since completing the original design exercise, we’ve been tasked with creating new packaging for a vegan & gluten free product which will be available in the coming months.
