Our branding and packaging design for Ken Hom Ethnic Cookware sought to confirm the brand’s preeminent position in Oriental cooking and its ‘best in class’ credentials. It focused on the human experience of using the product, whilst underscoring exceptional product performance.
Multi award-winning chef Ken Hom OBE is the author of over 20 cookery books; was voted ‘Food Broadcaster of the Year 2013’ and is the expertise behind the Ken Hom cookware range. With over 20 years experience in food packaging, we were approached by Ken Hom to redesign the packaging for the best selling cookware brand. The Ken Hom wok had previously sold over 7 million units in 62 countries, so the stakes were high. The new packaging had to resonate with a new generation of chefs and cooking enthusiasts across a variety of sales territories. We began by redesigning the iconic brand marque; art directing the specialist food photography and the shots of the man himself; followed by a redesign of packaging for the complete ‘Everyday’ and ‘Professional’ ranges, all of which were launched at Ambiente 2015.
