At sanders, we are only too well aware of the importance of communicating the value of design by measuring its true effectiveness in the knowledge that ultimately, regardless of the artistic or creative merit, the benefits must be reflected in a positive way in the bottom line.

The case studies you see here serve to demonstrate the excellent value for money and return on investment that a coherent, well-thought-out and professionally executed design strategy can achieve. It’s our belief that in a crowded marketplace, there's no place for one hit wonders; good design and good business are a long term relationship.

Completely rebranding a well established £60m turnover business with  a loyal customer base is fraught with risk. It requires careful and considered handling as it impacts directly on the way the business is perceived by customers, competitors and investors alike.
'The proof of the pudding...' The success of this rebrand that we undertook for Peter's has sparked rapid growth for the business, with tangible results – some products seeing a 300% increase in sales post rebrand.

With 3 generations of the Willis family involved in the business,  re branding of Douglas Willis (from Croeslan Catering) represents one of the most radical transformations we have made to any company.
By focussing on the provenance, heritage and premium nature of the brand we sought to realign the company's 'persona' with the reality of their business. The results have been spectacular with new routes to market arising 'on-line', in retail, through hotels, restaurants and supermarkets.

Investing in a quality set of knives is a once in a lifetime experience,  when designing the packaging & presentation for this new range of Taiku knives for Stellar we gave particular attention to way the product was presented at point of sale. Each knife is held & protected by a formed neoprene foam block, housed in a wenge hinged lidded box. For in-store security the wooden gift box has a sleeved jacket. Care in use leaflets were created to ensure that this is a once in a lifetime purchase.

De-cluttering, the use of iconography and intelligent typographical hierarchy were the key tools that we used to reposition this brand whilst ensuring that it lost nothing of the personality behind the brand. The result is a bright earthy design, in keeping with the company's roots and reflecting the energy behind the product whilst displaying the information in a clear and concise manner.
